Champion of Culture Darren Johnson’s Lasting Impact on Las Vegas Art

Darren Johnson, gallery services manager for the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District (LVCCLD), has played a pivotal role in shaping Clark County’s cultural landscape. Over the past nine years, Johnson has overseen the management and installation of approximately 80 exhibits annually, collaborating with over 400 artists. His leadership has expanded the district’s permanent collection and made the library’s gallery spaces accessible across 12 branches, including 15 dedicated gallery locations.
